Brandon Jennings continues to play well for the Milwaukee Bucks, averaging 6.9 PPG, 4.3 APG, and 2.4 RPG in 16.0 minutes per game (7 games), and recently signed a second 10-day contract with the team. Prior to joining the Bucks, the veteran point guard excelled in his return to the NBA G League, appearing in seven games for the Herd and averaging 21.4 PPG, 8.0 APG and 5.0 RPG in 37.0 minutes per game. Here are some highlights from Brandon Jennings' short yet spectacular career with the Herd: Jennings scores 31 points in Herd debut In his Herd debut on February 21, Jennings delivered an electric performance , scoring 31 points on 11-of-21 shooting (5-of-12 from downtown) and dishing out 8 assists. Back-to-back 29-pointers Jennings followed up his 31-point debut with a pair of 29-point performances, scoring from all over the court and getting to the free throw line at a Harden-esque rate. The former first-round NBA draft pick made 15-of-18 free throws agains...

Around the Herd: Brandon Jennings' thrilling first week, Ricky Ledo gets hot, Joel Bolomboy's big-time production, and more

Brandon Jennings' big first week Brandon Jennings ' career with the Herd is off to a flying start. After dazzling the home crowd with a 31-point performance on Wednesday night, the point guard followed it up with a pair of 29-point games in which he showed his scoring and play-making ability is as good as -- if not better than -- it's ever been. Always fun to watch, the former first-round pick (Bucks, 2009) has electrified crowds with superb ball-handling (including a beautiful behind-the-back dribble, step-back 19-footer combo that had the Air Canada Centre crowd buzzing on Sunday) and has shown a veteran's savvy in drawing contact and getting to the free-throw line. Even when his shot is not falling, Jennings has been able to consistently earn trips to the line, averaging a Harden-esque 11.0 free-throw attempts per game. Wisconsin Herd debut of Brandon Jennings draws HUGE Facebook Live audience. Over 330,000 viewed Herd vs. Mad Ants live or within six ho...

Brandon Jennings dazzles in Wisconsin Herd debut

Jennings puts on a show The crowd was buzzing with anticipation before tip-off on Wednesday night and Brandon Jennings did not disappoint. The former Bucks first-round pick scored 31 points on 11-of-21 shooting (5-of-12 from downtown) against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, added eight assists and displayed the scoring and play-making abilities that made him a star in Milwaukee. Jennings was hot from the opening tip. Operating as the team's primary ball-handler for most of the game, the 6'1" point guard scored 12 points and hit three threes (one of them a four-point play) in the first quarter and had 17 points by halftime. Around the Herd: Brandon Jennings set to debut, Herd drawing huge home crowds, Cliff Alexander's impressive efficiency, James Blackmon Jr. heating up

[Photo: Yahoo! Sports ] Brandon Jennings to make Herd debut Former Bucks first-round pick Brandon Jennings is set to make his Wisconsin Herd debut on February 21 against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Jennings, who signed with the NBA G League last week after a stint in China, was  claimed  by the Herd and is set to be in uniform, wearing number 10, on Wednesday in Oshkosh. Jennings averaged 17.0 points and 5.7 assists per game in his Bucks career after being drafted #10 overall in 2009, and was having a productive NBA career before injuries derailed him. But as a Bucks fan who remembers Jennings' explosive scoring and play-making ability from his early career, it would not surprise me to see the 28-year-old point guard get back to that level of production if he's healthy again. NBA teams around the league will be watching his Herd debut, as well, because while he plays for the Bucks minor-league affiliate, Jennings is a NBA G League free agent and able to sign with any ...

Around the Herd: Checking in on Two-Way players, recent acquisitions, and more

Checking in on the Two-Way Players Both Two-Way players, Xavier Munford and Marshall Plumlee , have been splitting their time between the Bucks and the Herd recently. Xavier Munford scored his first bucket as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks on February 1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. "Professor X" finished the game with three points and a steal in seven minutes. It was his second appearance in a Bucks uniform this season, first taking the court on January 20 against the Philadelphia 76ers. With the Herd, Munford continues to be one of the top players in the NBA G League this season. His eye-popping season averages -- 23.2 PPG, 52% FG, 45.2% 3PT, 4.9 REB, 5.1 AST, 1.8 STL in 25 games played -- have him firmly in the G League MVP discussion. Former Duke Blue Devil Marshall Plumlee has appeared in five games with the Bucks since being signed to a Two-Way contract on January 15. The 7-footer is averaging 2.4 points and 2.0 rebounds in 4.8 minutes per game...

Herd Highlights from the NBA G League Showcase

Bolomboy is back Forward Joel Bolomboy had an action-packed week, last week: Signed and then waived by the Bucks on Sunday, clearing NBA waivers and signing back with the NBA G League mid-week, then dominating  at the G League Showcase for the Herd. Munford signs Two-Way contract with Bucks Wisconsin Herd star Xavier Munford signed a Two-Way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday. Munford, a 6'3" guard who played his college ball at the University of Rhode Island, currently ranks 4th in the NBA G League in scoring (24.1 points per game) and 2nd in 3-point percentage (47.6%). "Professor X" has been a human highlight-reel for the Herd literally since Day One (he hit the game-winning three in the franchise's first game), and filled up the stat sheet on a nightly basis, he's definitely earned this opportunity. If the Bucks hadn't signed him, he surely would have garnered interest from other teams. Munford has shown a knack for scoring and making plays all season for the Herd, and I see him doing the same for the Bucks. Job well done by Milwaukee.
