Xavier Munford  has been named Herd Copy 's 2017-18 Wisconsin Herd Player of the Year. Munford was a playmaker extraordinaire for the Herd this season and stuffed the stat sheet on a nightly basis. He ranked 3rd in the NBA G League in scoring (24.4 PPG) and 4th in 3-point percentage (44.4%) while adding 5.2 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. The 6'3" point guard was consistent all year, shooting over 50% from the field. Munford scored 20+ points in 22 of the 34 games he played, and closed the season with a flourish, topping 40 points twice in the final fortnight, including a career-high and franchise record 46 points in the Herd's penultimate game.
